Software engineering
for businesses that
need to ship.

Tysoft is an independent engineering practice based in Coffs Harbour, Australia. I partner with medium and large organisations on the design, build, and operation of production software systems — with a focus on .NET, Azure, and full-stack web platforms.

What I do

Production software
delivered with care.

Every engagement is scoped, contracted, and invoiced individually. I work directly with founders, engineering leaders, and product teams — embedded in your team or operating as an external delivery partner.

01

Embedded engineering

  • .NET / C#
  • Azure
  • Cosmos DB
  • Angular
  • React

I join product teams as a senior contributor on multi-month engagements, shipping production features alongside your engineers. Typical scope covers full-stack web development, cloud-native services on Azure, and the parts of your platform that need an experienced hand — data modelling, integrations, and reliability work.

Engagements run 3–12 months with a defined statement of work.

02

Platform & integrations

  • Stripe Connect
  • OAuth / SSO
  • Webhooks
  • REST & GraphQL

Building the backbone of a product: payment platforms, OAuth-based account linking, webhook infrastructure with idempotency and replay, and integrations with the third-party APIs your business depends on. I’ve shipped Stripe Connect platforms from scratch, including the security, account onboarding, and reconciliation work that production payments demand.

03

Architecture & advisory

  • Cloud architecture
  • Data modelling
  • Code review

Fixed-scope reviews of your cloud architecture, data model, or critical subsystems, delivered as a written report with prioritised recommendations and an optional follow-up implementation phase. Suited to teams preparing for scale, a migration, or a security audit.

04

SaaS development partnership

  • Greenfield
  • Multi-tenant
  • Long-term

For founders building a SaaS product without an in-house engineering team yet: an end-to-end partnership covering architecture, build, deployment, and ongoing operation. Engagements are structured around clear monthly deliverables with full code ownership transferred to the client.

About the practice

Senior engineering, without the agency overhead.

Tysoft is the practice of Tyson Benson, a senior software engineer with 17+ years of experience building production software for B2B SaaS. Recent work spans healthcare, payments, education, and tourism technology.

Engagements are run directly with the principal — no account managers, no offshore handoffs. Clients receive senior-level output on a transparent commercial footing.

Backend

  • C# / .NET
  • Azure (App Service, Functions, Service Bus)
  • Cosmos DB
  • SQL Server
  • REST & GraphQL APIs

Frontend & ops

  • Angular
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions
  • Stripe Connect & Billing
Product in development

A booking platform for the global ski industry.

Alongside client work, Tysoft is developing snow.deal, an upcoming SaaS platform serving ski resorts and tourism operators. The product is in active development — an early preview is available to take a look at where it’s heading.

How we work

Three ways
to engage.

Every engagement begins with a free 30–45 minute discovery call. From there, scope and price are agreed in writing before any work begins. All engagements are invoiced from Coffs Harbour, Australia, in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Time & materials

AUD hourly · Invoiced fortnightly

For embedded engineering and ongoing development work. Time is logged transparently and invoiced on a fortnightly cycle. Either party may end the engagement on 14 days’ notice.

Fixed scope

AUD fixed price · Milestone billing

For projects with a clear deliverable — an architecture review, a defined feature build, or a discrete integration. Priced and contracted up front, billed against milestones.

Retainer

AUD monthly · Reserved capacity

Reserved hours per month for advisory, on-call architecture support, or ongoing maintenance. Minimum three-month commitment, then month-to-month with 30 days’ notice.

All engagements are governed by a written statement of work and our terms of service, which set out cancellation, refund, and intellectual property terms in full. Time-and-materials work is non-refundable for hours already delivered; fixed-scope deposits and unused retainer time are refundable on the conditions described in the terms. By default, prices are quoted exclusive of GST, which is added where applicable to Australian clients.
